H.R. 1424

 The Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act, which was introduced in the House on March 9, 2007. If passed, this Act will improve access to lifesaving addiction and mental health treatment by limiting the discriminatory barriers that have kept thousands of Americans with addictive disorders and mental health disorders from receiving the care they need.

To amend section 712 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, section 2705 of the Public Health Service Act, and section 9812 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to require equity in the provision of mental health and substance-related disorder benefits under group health plans.

 

HR 1593 Second Chance Act of 2007

To reauthorize the grant program for reentry of offenders into the community in the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, to improve reentry planning and implementation, and for other purposes.

 

HR-2747  Methamphetamine Production Prevention Act of 2007
To establish a grant program to facilitate the creation of methamphetamine precursor electronic logbook systems, and for other purposes.
